Anyone else not able to open the blog post? I would really like the details, but link sends me to missing page. Thanks.
Hi, i'm working on renewing my website, in a few weeks it should be up and running again
What gauge wire? Is 2mm too thin?
Thank you
Strong work. Who makes that axe?
This one is from a Czech blacksmith that ceased to exist during the communist era. I modified the roundings at the bottom to make it a bit lighter and eaier to handle for smaller work.
Bro you made me immediately miss a friend in sight, I just know you are a wonderful loyal dude. Weird feeling to have across time and code but I’m sure.
Thanks dude, thats cool to hear! Hope all is well with you!
I hope the heat treatment has not been ruined by the angle grinder.
Doesn't look like it, i had to file away a lot of material anyway cauae of the dents. I'm still using this axe without issues.
@@dabberty Good. Hey can you check if the steel is magnetic? I'm looking at an iltis new from germany and it's listed as stainless steel so I'm very curious.
@@iCanHazTwentyLetters just checked, a magnet will stick to the axe
Great trip... do you happen to have a GPS track or some details on where you started and went?
Hi, honestly I hav no idea anymore. We rented a car at the airport, and looked up some area on the map where several lakes where, and went there. Parked the car, and hiked from lake to lake. Can't remember the parking place anymore.. sorry.
That's awesome, man, great job!
Thanks !
Mooi man!

I've split 5 cords through it so far. Does what I need it to. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUyQswtttSffRMblGbrhCvZn7JkhtG1-7 I scrounge all my firewood and am not equipped to handle big wood, but for logs up to 24 inch diameter or so, it works great. I've been amazed by some of the gnarly bur oak and elm crotches it has split. For the tougher stuff within it's size range, you might have to study the piece a bit to decide the best attack, but if you split smart it's up to the job. It did arrive low on oil, and I was would have nicked it half a star for that, but it has regained my full confidence. UPDATE NOVEMBER 2021: Still going strong after all these years. I love the one-handed operation. Hope it's still in production if I ever need to replace it
Thanks for the video, i made one similar and it works well
Perfect !

@@user-kv9yl6yo8i hi, sadly I have nothing left for the 112 series. Good luck restoring your saw, they are definitly worth it.
I have to buy this what I need to do ?
Just make one, very easy to do :-)
Where did you find the pattern for this or did you just make it up?
Hello, it's pretty much my own design. I made several tarps in the years before, and always wanted to improve it slightly. This design is the end result. I made also a white version for the snowhikes, exsctly the same way. Very happy with it.
dude after searching all day this is the one but twice as long for swords lol, the only thing easier would be to just dig a trench in the ground
Thanks ! And good luck with a longer version. Somrtimes the shortness of this one annoys me as well, but i use it rarely, so not yet the need and drive to make a longer one. Have a great day !
@@dabberty thanks again! you the man! I ordered the foldout and some fire bricks, I'm making it!
